Description
Sarkehj Roza – is one of Ahmedabad’s most elegant and unique architectural complexes. Built at the advent of the Sultanate era, the mausoleum and mosque at Sarkhej were constructed in honour of the Sufi saint, Shaikh Ahmed Khattu Ganj Baksh.
This 120-pillared structure was coined ‘Ahmedabad’s Acropolis’ by swiss French architect Le Corbusier.
The hand-sketched illustration of the ancient necropolis of Sarkhej Roza is frozen in time. The artwork is a reflection of the architectural ambitions of the Gujarat Sultans. Grab a copy and welcome the spiritual energy of Sarkhej Roza to your home!
