Description
The Rani Ki Vav is a timeless symbol of Queen Udaymati’s love for her husband, Solanki King Bhimdev I. This magnificent stepwell is 7 – storeys deep and is intricately embellished with more than 800 sculptures depicting religious, mythological and non-sacred imagery.
Excavated in 1960, this maru gurjara architectural style stepwell is a part of the UNESCO world heritage sites. The set of six postcards captures this stepwell’s architectural beauty in an attempt to freeze it in time.
Each postcard in the set captures a unique architectural detail ranging from the carved stone panels to the floral patterns carved on stone columns.
