Description
The Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, or CST Station, formerly known as Victoria Terminus, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a historic railway station. Built in 1888, it is an excellent reminder of the British Raj, an outstanding example of Victorian Gothic Revival architecture and has witnessed the transition of Bombay to Mumbai.
The entrance of CST Station is adorned with a lion (representing Britain) and tiger (representing India). A beautiful amalgamation of two distinct architectural forms, cultures and traditions.
