Sabarmati Ashram, also known as Gandhi Ashram, is located in the Sabarmati suburb of Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Named after the eponym Sabarmati River, the ashram is built on one of the ancient ashram sites of Dadhichi Rishi. The epicentre of the Indian Freedom Struggle, the Sabarmati Ashram, was the starting point of the Salt Satyagrah.
